The Matriarch

The Matriarch is a stealth game where you must rescue helpless chicks while avoiding deadly Seekers.

The chicks are clumsy and sometimes get stuck, so make sure to rescue them when that happens! (Definitely not a bug, intended feature)

Note, you don't have to get all of the chicks in a level, only 1!

The Hoarder: A calculated hunter that doesn’t just kill — it collects. After capturing its prey, it drags them back to its den, adding to a growing pile of victims. (found in level 2)

The Beast: A mindless predator that kills for sport, not survival. It roams aimlessly, driven by bloodlust, attacking anything it sees — even if it doesn’t need to. (found in level 1 & 2)

Theme: Duality
We represented this through two opposing actions: rescuing the chicks, and using them as a resource to heal.

Limitation: Everything at a Cost
Healing requires sacrificing one of the chicks. Also, if you try to save a chick, you have a chance for a seeker to come after you.
